Ashraf El-Sayed is a professor of Microbiology and Molecular Biology at Faculty of Science, Zagazig University. El-Sayed’s research area is focused on exploring and molecular engineering of bioactive secondary metabolites especially of anticancer activity from microorganisms implementing the cutting-edge technologies of molecular biology, genome editing, proteomics and metabolomics analyses. He has published more than 120 research and review articles on prestigious international journals, several book chapters, a reviewer of more than 150 international and national journals. Dr. El-Sayed endowed the following rewards; 1- First Class Scientific Franchise for scientific achievements from the ARE president 2019, 2- National Egyptian Encouragement Award on the Developed Technological Sciences 2017, 3- Award of Prof. Dr. Moubasher for outstanding researchers of Mycology 2022, 4- National Egyptian Encouragement award in Basic Biological Sciences 2012, 5- Encouragement prize of Zagazig University for the Basic Sciences 2010, 6-Certificates of Excellency from Zagazig University for International Publications from 2009 till 2023. 7- Among the list of Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University assessment in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023
